Four Men Arrested Over 'Conspiracy To Murder'

Four men were arrested in the north inner city this evening over 'conspiracy to murder'. 

A gun and silencer were also seized by gardai from Special Crime Operations as well as the Emergency Response Unit and Armed Support Unit. 

The men, who were aged 23,35,37 and 38, are thought to be connected to organised crime gangs. 

According to Assistant Commissioner John O’Driscoll, today's arrests represent 'a significant additional achievement in An Garda Síochána’s ongoing and unrelenting effort to tackle organised crime and, in particular, the total disregard for human life exhibited by the criminals involved'.
