lovinmanchester

Gardaí are investigating an alleged rape on University College Dublin’s Belfield campus.

According to The Irish Times, the alleged rape occurred in the early hours of last Friday morning, November 25.

A full Garda investigation is currently underway, said a Garda spokeswoman.

A spokesman for UCD told The Irish Times that the college was aware of “a report made to the Gardaí” but could not give any further comment and would not disclose the nature of the allegations.

A “walk safe” service is available on UCD campus allowing students to contact security staff by phone and request an escort from one campus location to another – which UCD Students’ Union reminded students of yesterday.
