Tens of thousands of people are expected to descend on the city today to take part in an anti-water charge protest.
While the controversial levy has been suspended, protesters for the Right2Water group want the government to completely abolish the charge and will be making their feelings known this afternoon.
Demonstrators will gather at three points in the city – Sir John Rogerson’s Quay at 1.30pm and Heuston and Connolly rail stations from 2pm.

Right2Water has been holding anti-charges rallies since 2014 under the mantra that water charges discriminate against working people and the unemployed in favour of the wealthy.
