Man Caught On CCTV Defacing The George Bar

katedemolder

Yesterday we reported that Dublin’s famous The George Bar was the victim of a hate-crime, following a story that a plethora of homophobic insults had been written onto the walls of the building that night.

It now seems, according to the Irish Times, that the one responsible has been caught.

The incident, which occurred in the early hours of Saturday morning, was caught on all three of the bar’s CCTV cameras – all of which will be handed over to Gardaí investigating the offence.

The homophobic slurs, written in chalk, have since been removed.

The incident comes just two days short of the second anniversary of the marriage referendum.
