These are the scenes near Puck’s Castle in Rathmichael, in a part of the Dublin Mountains just outside Shankill, where the Dublin Fire Brigade have been stationed since 4pm today.
They’re battling a ferocious-looking blaze which has swept through the woodland area as a result of dry vegetation in the area.
Thankfully no homes seem to be in danger, but it’s certainly a fairly intense situation by the looks of these the photos tweeted in the last half hour.
It’s been a busy afternoon for the organisation
Earlier on, they removed a person from the Liffey, near Heuston Station.
It’s not known how the person ended up in the river, but thankfully no injuries were reported.
