Relentless – ANOTHER Yellow Weather Warning As 80mm Of Rain Raises Flooding Fears

What a shitshow

It just doesn't stop.

Battered and bruised by Storm Desmond, we're now facing into a further 80mm of rain over the coming weekend – and Met Éireann has issued a Status Yellow weather warning for the country, to remain in place until the end of tomorrow.

With the Shannon Basin absolutely teeming with water, residents across the midlands are fearful that flooding with hit the same levels as the 2009 floods, which wreaked havoc on the nation as several rivers burst their banks.

Several homes and businesses who were affected by these floods have been unable to obtain flood insurance in the time since then, so a repeat would spell a seriously disastrous Christmas for thousands of people – here's hoping the warning is just a precaution, that the rivers hold steady, and this pummelling comes to an end very soon.
