Being a member of An Garda Síochána can be tough work. There’s chasing criminals, dealing with intoxicated members of the public and that’s before we even mention having to post hilarious tweets on a daily basis.
At this time of year, all that physical work must make things a bit sweaty in those clunky uniforms so our men and women in blue will be pleased to hear that they could soon be provided with much more comfortable attire in the summer months.
These uniforms (pictured below) are set to be trialled at Tallaght Garda Station in Dublin as well as Henry Street in Limerick and Bunclody in Wexford…

The new look will be rolled out at the three stations in July but with temperatures soaring to 26 degrees this week, the guards must be counting the days.
