The days of waiting an age for the dart is over…hopefully.
Transport Minister, Shane Ross has said a ten minute DART service will be introduced later this year.
The minister was at a round table discussion with 70 reps for various organisations including the unions, the National Transport Agency and disability campaign groups.
As first reported by 98fm, plans for ten minute DART services were delayed due to a dispute with trade unions over trainee mentoring.
While an agreement was reached through the Labour Court in April, the National Bus and Railworkers Union has said that agreements with drivers still have to be finalised before the service can be rolled out.
Minister Ross also announced the rail link from Kildare to the city centre via the Phoenix Park rail tunnel will be expanded to an all day service.
