Well isn’t this some Christmas treat.

There’d be some craic being out on a Friday night, finishing up work and realising you’ve just won a load of money in the Euromillions

A lucky National Lottery player from Tallaght will be celebrating Christmas early after scooping a massive €489,376 in last night’s mega EuroMillions Draw.

While the jackpot was not won, a ticket bought in Dunnes Stores in Kilnamanagh matched 5 numbers and a Lucky Star to make it a Christmas to remember for one player.

And with the top prize not won the Christmas Day EuroMillions jackpot will roll to a mind blowing €110 million, a National Lottery spokesperson revealed today.

“Congratulations to last night’s winner this is fantastic news for one of our EuroMillions players just on time for Christmas! We are urging all our players to check their tickets to see if their numbers have come up.

And remember the Christmas Day EuroMillions Draw soars to an incredible €110 million. A EuroMillions ticket would make an ideal stocking filler,” said a lottery spokesperson.

Last nights winning numbers are: 2, 12, 15, 34, 50 and Lucky Stars 3 and 4

Ireland has had the rub of the green when it comes to EuroMillions this year with 27 players winning the top prize in EuroMillions Plus of €500,000. And a syndicate from Stakelums Hardware in Thurles, Co. Tipperary, scooped the jackpot of €17 million in April.

Meanwhile Lotto players throughout Ireland have a cracking chance of scooping an early Christmas present by sharing in tonight’s Lotto Plus Raffle prize of a guaranteed €1 million.

To mark the festive season the National Lottery is adding €1 million to the Lotto Plus Raffle prize fund which sees between 80 and 120 winners of €500 in every draw. By topping up the raffle prize fund by €1 million it is expected that each raffle winner tonight will receive between €8,000 – €12,500.
