A provisional liquidator has been appointed by the High Court for the American Apparel clothing retailer located on Grafton Street.
The city centre store is the only Irish location for the company and has been acting as its flagship in the country since it began trading here in 2007.
However American Apparel has been plagued by financial difficulty in recent times with a loss of €1.3 million reported to have been made in 2014, resulting in the company filing for bankruptcy in the US.
The chain’s founder, Dov Charney, was fired for alleged misconduct last year.
According to Fora.ie, the matter of the Grafton Street store’s liquidation will be brought to the courts again in December.
