Anyone who works weekends will know the struggle of missing out on brunch.
The sacred ritual. The social aspect. The glorious booziness. The absolute tashte.
Every element that makes up a weekend brunch – taken away from you with a single shift.
So, naturally, when I found out that Brioche in Ranelagh would begin serving brunch on weekdays, as well as weekends, I nearly went into cardiac arrest.
A tiny beam of life came back into my life.
I’m not a huge believer in ‘signs’, but I knew for sure that this was one.
We have arrived at the part of the story where I stop rambling and begin showing you the most food-porny brunch pics you’ll ever see.
From buckwheat porridge with crab and haddock to their full Irish boudin – the menu is unique yet classic.
I went in for the kill and tried the Eggs Benedict. I can assure you, they did not disappoint.
Sweet, toasted, homemade brioche muffins topped with wilted spinach, ham hock with grainy mustard, perfectly poached eggs covered with creamy and lemon-y Hollandaise sauce.
And the home fries? Life-changing and I’m not even exaggerating. I’ve never tasted fries like ’em in my whole life.
Strongly considering bribing the chefs for that recipe alone.
You may recognise Brioche from a piece we published a few months back about a publicity stunt they pulled to unveil their rebrand.
Brioche has all the vibes of a high-end, plush London or New York eatery.
Inside the interior is different shades of navy and midnight blue, with gold accents throughout – you feel cool just basking in it.
And the smell from the kitchen? You’ll never forget it.
