As Irish people, there are two things we love more than anything else in the world

A drink or two, and a bargain. As most of us know, these two things aren’t usually conducive – we all know the feeling of heading out for “just the one” and end up spending the bulk of our wages in one whirlwind evening. This is where bottomless brunch comes in. It’s all-inclusive, so no need to worry about bankrupting yourself. All you need to focus on is getting a cute outfit together and you’re good to go. Wigwam

The team behind Wigwam have carved out a great centre for hospitality on Abbey Street, which boasts everything from incredible coffee, top-notch cocktails, exciting grub, gigs, markets and some of the city’s best brunches. The team have a drag brunch each Sunday, alongside a rolling series of events on erry day of the week, cos they change so much you are best off having a goo at their website. Service is great, with very attentive, while the queens put on an incredible show, with a perfect balance of jokes, dancing and audience participation. They have a great brunch menu, filled with not-your-average items, choose from açaí bowls, ranchero eggs, los Chicanos sambo and Rabanada (Brazilian French toast). 

Happy’s

Spots in and around Temple Bar don’t get much funner than Happy’s the massive spot on the quays is an epicentre of craic, tunes and food. Each Saturday between the hours of 13.00 and 15.30 there’s a themed drag brunch which is also bottomless, each weekend is musically themed running from the likes of ABBA to SZA vs Doja Cat. It’s €30 for bottomless drinks which include mimosas, beer, and select cocktails, when you purchase a main. The menu is pretty fun, heavy on the burgers with a katsu curry, chicken nugs and some good vegan options thrown into the mix. 

Platform 61

A spot that’s hidden away on South willy, you’d walk past it while dodging the cars on the pedestrianised street without noticing it. Kind staff, who aren’t stingy about filling up your glass with bottomless mimosas. They offer an all-star line-up of brunch favourites from huevos rancheros, eggs benedict, open steak sandwich and avocado on toast, the portions are big which when you are consuming that amount of alcohol is advised. If you don’t fancy heading there for bottomless brunch it’s also a sweet little spot for date night or a quiet meet-up with a pal.

The location of Cleaver East is hard to beat, set above the crush of Temple Bar, this light and airy space is truly a great place to get away from it all. Running Saturdays and Sundays this spot is a lovely space to sink a few cocktails, enjoy some grub and have a great catch-up with pals. The team at Cleaver East serve up a high-quality varied menu, which will has something on it for even the pickiest of eaters, from eggs benny, smashed avo on toast, short rib tacos, buttermilk chicken with waffles, to cheeseburgers! The bottomless brunch package runs for 1hr & 45mins and you can choose from either bottomless mimosas, pineapple mimosas or bellinis in that time. 

Beef and Lobster

One of the longest-standing bottomless brunches in town, Beef and Lobster takes their 1hr and 45mins of bottomless mimosas or bellinis seriously. The decor is fun, the music is loud and the atmosphere is laid-back, you’ll be pretty much left to your own devices. Their lobster roll is a must-try, but their menu also has duck wings, buttermilk fried chicken and waffles and cajun chicken quesadilla that all deserve a mention. 

The Revolution

Not a massive place, which perhaps is what makes The Revolution pretty special. The decor is a nod to that beachy California aesthetic, all exposed wood and twinkling lights. You can enjoy bottomless mimosas, beers, sparkling rose, seltzers, tunes and more at this Rathgar running every weekend from 11.00-16.00. While they are best known for their pizzas, they’ve got a Tex-Mex-themed menu for brunch with carnitas, cod, mushroom and prawn tacos in attendance, alongside breakfast burritos and smashed avo, there’s also a fry and some cheesecake pancakes to tickle your fancy. 

Bow Lane Social Club

A spot that’s laying its own claim to having the best bottomless brunch in the city is the buzzy Aungier Street spot. The friendly team put on a real show for bottomless brunchers, led by resident glam-puss M I Z Z A. The menu isn’t massive but there are all the classics included, like eggs benny, smash burger, chicken tendies and dahl for the veggies (vegans are advised to check with staff ahead of time). There’s a wide variety of drinks available on tick, a far cry from the sometimes restrictive parameters of mimosas and bellinis. Staff are quick with the drinks as soon as they hear the last slurp of the cocktail they are filling ’em up, which is unusual for some bottomless brunch spots.

For a bottomless brunch with a bit of a twist, erry Sunday, Chimac offers up an almighty feed of Korean fried chicken and icy pink goodness of bottomless frosé on tap. For 90 mins between 11.30 – 15.30, you can give yourself and your friends an almighty brain freeze by slurping up as much frosé from those iconic tin cups as you can stomach for just €29.00. To accompany your frozen brain you can nom a small but perfectly formed menu of chicken and waffles, breakfast burger or hash browns and eggs. 

Jackie’s

This nostalgia-twinged boozer is a new enough addition to Dublin’s bottomless brunch scene and must be the only place in Ireland – nay, the world – offering bottomless pints of Harp. Instead of a standing order of weekend bottom-less brunching, the team run a series of once-off bottom-less brunch events. As a 90s-themed bar, these events are generally musical-themed along the lines of Britney v Spice Girls or 90s pop v R&B, which happen every Saturday and Sunday, and come in at 30 quid a head. Food comes from Dublin Pizza Company, titans in the city’s pizza space, who serve up a small but concise menu of wood-fired pies. Be sure to book well in advance as these tickets tend to sell out lippitysplit.

One of the spennier bottomless brunches is also one of the longest-running, during a two-hour slot (between 12.30-15.30) you get a brunch main with bottomless brunch cocktails for €47 per person. The surrounds of the popular bar are moody, darkly lit and all New York industrial-chic exposed brick, pipes and vintage furniture. If you want some variety in your bottomless drink options, this spot is a great shout, with margs, spritzes a couple of other jazzy cocktails available. The menu is pretty small but with some really intriguing entries like huevos rotos, spicy chicken and waffles, and sweet caramel waffles. 

Bobby’s Wine Bar

Set in the basement of Baggot Street main street, is a little hidden wine bar that’s been beating out a trade since it opened just before the panny dazzler. It’s a great little date night spot but they are very accommodating to larger groups and at the weekends bottomless brunch takes centre stage. You can grab whatever main you want from the classically simple menu, and choose between free-flowing prosecco, rosé, white, red wine or Peroni beer for just €39.50 per person. 

The Port House

This Dublin institution is well known for its tapas & pintxo menu, alongside its wine, port lists and its gra for Catalonian Sparkling wines. It’s not a spot you would expect to be doing a bottomless brunch, but bottomless brunch they do, offering a brunch board catering to meat-eaters, veggies and veggies who eat eggs, washed down with bottomless cava, sangria or beer. Perfect for sharing with a couple of pals, the brunch boards are more breakfasty than lunchy with offerings as varied as banana pancakes and PBJ overnight oats. 

Botanical

Set in a snazzy hotel, the Botanical is new enough to the bottomless brunch game, offering themed events on select weekend dates, with themes centring around contemporary music’s leading ladies like Beyonce, Taylor and Whitney Heuston to name but a few. Coming in at €35 per person, attendees get a special Botanical cocktail followed by a brunch dish and an optional bottomless prosecco or mimosas. 

The Well

Conveniently located smack bang off Stephen’s Green, just off Grafton Street, The Well is truly a massive space capable of taking even the largest of bookings. There’s a good lively atmosphere in the place, the size of it makes it more suitable for groups as opposed to dates, it’s usually quite busy so book your table in advance. There are loads of options on the menu – pizza, pasta, starters, desserts, if there are bottomless margarita included in the bottomless brunching grab it with both hands.
