PIC: Taxi Taking Up 4 Parking Spaces In Dublin Is Just Taking The Piss

Darragh Berry

There’s nothing more infuriating when you’re driving around, in desperate need of a parking space, than to see someone parked arseways and taking up two spots.

It’s not acceptable but you can understand that maybe it was an honest mistake and that the driver didn’t realise they were holding up an extra space.

Two is fine-ish.

Three is the limit. You knew exactly what you were at. We don’t care if you’re only going to be “two-minutes in the shop”, it literally takes ten seconds to park correctly into one of the spaces.

We don’t even know what to call taking up four parking spaces at one time other than taking the absolute piss.

This reddit user snapped a taxi driver in SuperValu car park in Walkinstown sprawled across a number of parking spaces.

It’s actually hard to fathom how inconsiderate you’d have to be of other road users in order to something like.

One of the four parking spaces that is being occupied is even a parent and child parking spot.

‘Parent and Child Bays’ are in place to allow easy access for parents who have young children, and should only be used by motorists with such needs.

Now, we cannot confirm or deny that the taxi driver in question had a children onboard or not but even if they did, they are still taking up an extra, unnecessary three spaces.

Our blood is boiling.
