PICS: A Parked Car Caused Delays On The Luas Line This Morning

Luas has confirmed that its green line service operated with delays this morning due to a car blocking the tracks.

The vehicle parked on the line at Broadstone, leading to delays of 15 minutes for commuters before it was eventually removed by onlooker Dermot Nolan, who can been seeing walking towards the car in the below photo.

Dermot told Lovin “I reversed the car off, helped by five or six good citizens. The owner was somewhat upset. He was looking for Broombridge and seemed pleased to see the sign saying “Broombridge 2”. I told him that meant two minutes, not two kilometres.”

The incident occurred on a morning of disruption for the Luas, with both red and green lines experiencing delays due to traffic congestion in the city.
