According to a recently released report, cases of chlamydia in Dublin increased by nearly a third last year.

The report released by Well Women’s Centre revealed that the numbers of cases of chlamydia in 2014 were the highest in five years. The highest rate of positive tests occurred in the under 20 age
group.

The figures revealed that there was an increase of 32 percent on the previous year in the sexually transmitted disease, with a staggering 253 people testing positive.

It is very important for anyone who had a recent change in partners to get tested for
chlamydia. The fact that we are testing more people is an indication that people
understand this.
