It really takes someone from the outside looking in to release how much of a mess the current housing crisis is in Dublin.
News Reporter for Donegal/Sligo based Ocean FM, Barry Whyte, was doing some Dublin house searching and came across this humdinger which he described as a real “eye-opener.”
The advertisement was on both Daft.ie and Rent.ie but it has been taken down on the latter site – you can find the former URL here – while it still appears on Google for Daft, there is no link to any old site.
Searching for accommodation in #Dublin is certainly an eye-opener.

The place in Mountjoy square is 12 minutes from the spire and is a two bedroom house which somehow fits seven people in total.
“€360 a month to share a quadruple room” with a deposit of the same amount on top of that.
“There are 6 people, 4 girls (counting on you Brazilian and South Korean) and 2 boys (Brazilian and South Korean) The house is newly renovated.”
How much more of this sort of rubbish can be advertised in Dublin?
