It’s just been announced that the Dublin V Kerry All-Ireland Football Final will be screened in Smithfield Plaza on Sunday, September 20.
Dublin City Council has given the go ahead for the screening, and a similar event happened just two years ago when Dublin defeated Mayo.
In 2013, thousands of supporters turned out for the event, Former Lord Mayor Christy Burke told The Herald:
It was like a miniature Croke Park atmosphere that day and I’ve no doubt that it will be even bigger this time out […] There will be people who will unfortunately not be able to get tickets for the game, and this is here for them.
The event is intended for the whole family, and it will be alcohol-free. There will also be other entertainment on offer, with music, face-painting, and clowns.
The screening will take place at Smithfield Plaza on Sunday, September 20 and it will be free of charge.
