Ireland To Experience Further Wintry Showers, Snow And Frost This Week

fiodhna_hm

It’s a wee bit nippy today, and if we’re to believe Met Éireann, the cold snap will remain for the next few days.

With snow on higher ground over the weekend, it looks like this will become more widespread over the coming days as temperatures drop even further.

The weather will stay cold for the rest of the week, with frosty nights and occasional wintry showers.

Frost setting in soon after dark and giving some ice in places. Later in the night, a spell of rain and sleet is expected. This could well fall as snow on the higher ground. Lowest temperatures plus 1 to -2 C.

Cold conditions continuing through Thursday and Friday. Some sunny spells, but scattered showers too, some wintry. Winds will be moderate occasionally fresh north.
