This Newly Released Footage Of Dublin From The Sky In 1946 Is Just Mesmerising

This is quite literally a whole new angle on Dublin in the ‘rare auld times’.

Released today by Associated Press, along with more than a million minutes of other archive footage, the film contains shots of a very new (and beautiful) Dublin airport, before tracking along the Liffey from Phoenix Park outwards, out to Poolbeg Lighthouse and then north towards Howth.

Stunning stuff.
