Gardaí arrested two men in their 30s and seized a firearm in Dublin yesterday evening.
The Garda Emergency Response Unit intercepted the men on Kylemore Road in Ballyfermot at 8pm, Independent.ie reports.
The men were travelling in a van at the time, from which Gardaí recovered a loaded handgun. It is believed they were on their way to shoot a fellow member of the Kinahan gang.
The men were taken to Crumlin Garda Station for questioning.
