seank

It turns out that 8,000 Irish motorists are owed an insurance refund due to a technical error.

It has just been revealed that 123.ie has overcharged thousands of their customers accidentally over two years.

The company, which is owned by the RSA, has sent letters in the past few weeks to the policyholders affected by the error, including those who are no longer with the company, according to the Irish Examiner.

The average refund is €80 and 123.ie will pay an extra 5% in compensation for the inconvenience caused.

A 123.ie spokesperson has stated that efforts are now being made to prevent this kind of mistake from ever happening again.
