Here’s All The Dublin Bus Diversion Routes For The Bank Holiday Weekend

The SSE Airtricity Dublin Marathon is taking place this Sunday, and to facilitate the route there will be some changes made to a lot of Dublin Bus routes for this weekend.

Diversions to routes will be put in place from tomorrow, Friday October 27th from 7pm continuing until 6pm on Monday October 30th due to the closure of Merrion Square North.

In case you’re travelling on public transport this weekend, here are all the routes that will be diverted:

Friday – Monday diversions:

  • 4

Towards Harristown: Normal route to Lower Mount Street, divert left to Merrion Square East, right to Merrion Square South, Merrion Square West, Clare Street and back on to normal route. 

Towards Monkstown: Normal route to South Leinster Street, divert to Lincoln Place, Merrion Street Lower, Merrion Square West, Merriron Square South, Merrion Sqaure East, right to to Mount Street and back on to normal route.

  • 7 and 7a:

Towards Mountjoy Square: Normal route to Lower Mount Street, divert left to Merrion Square East, right to Merrion Square South, Merrion Square West, Clare Street and back on to normal route. 

Towards Brides Glen/Loughlinstown: Normal route to South Leinster Street, divert to Lincoln Place, Merrion Street Lower, Merrion Square West, Merriron Square South, Merrion Sqaure East, right to to Mount Street and back on to normal route. 

  • 25a, 25b, 66 and 66a and 67:

From City Centre:
Depart Merrion Square, divert right to Fitzwillism Street, Baggot Street, Pembroke Street, Leeson Street, St. Stephens Grenn, Kildare Street, Lincoln Place and back on to normal route.

Sunday only diversions:

City Tours and South Coast Tours will also be affected.

Over 20,000 people are expected to take part in the Dublin marathon this year for its biggest event yet.
