Out and about this afternoon? Be sure to look up.
A Super Moon, officially called a “Full Cold Moon” will appear in the skies of Dublin at around 4.39pm today.
According to Space.com, the moon will appear 14% larger and 30% brighter than usual so be sure to have the cameras ready to capture the rare occurrence.
Never fear if you miss it though as a similar phenomenon is due to take place on January 1 and January 31 2018, the latter of which will be a total lunar eclipse.
Plenty of sky action to keep us entertained. Watch those necks, folks.
