This evening sees some of Northern Ireland’s finest take over Abbey Street coffee shop Vice Coffee Inc. in an attempt to teach Dublin’s coffee fanatics the roasts – eh, we mean, ropes. Teach them the ropes.
Belfast’s newest speciality coffee roasters and brew bars Root & Branch will be hosted by Vice for the evening, where the crew behind some of the best beans in Belfast chat through a series of demos to do with roasting and coffee cupping as well as discussing the art, science and witchcraft that goes along with a good brew.
Everything kicks off this evening at at 7pm, where co-founder of the Ormeau Road roasters Simon will natter through the wildly interesting history of coffee, and guests will get a chance to learn, chat and discover all things coffee from some of Ireland’s best and brightest.
The free event is part of Root & Branch’s Riding Roasting Tour around Ireland. Following a stint in Dublin, the Roasting Tour moves onto Soma Coffee Company in Cork and finally Coffeewerk + Press in Galway.
Caffeinated road trip, anyone?
