Abortion remains a very serious debate in this country, and today there was a march to ‘Celebrate the 8th’ on Merrion Square.
To say the opinion is divided would be seriously understating things.
The event saw speakers from the all over Ireland, the UK and further afield come and speak to the crowd about how to protect the 8th, which many had an issue with.
Here’s what the people of Twitter had to say on the subject.
I try to be reasonable but #celebratethe8th offends me deeply. It hurts me. You can live by your own rules but please stop hurting women.

Saw #CelebrateThe8th trending, felt sad. Delighted when I saw it’s only trending because so many people are disgusted by it ???????? #repealthe8th
