The Sugar Club are continuing their Cult Classic Cinema Month tonight with The Warriors.

The venue is known for its movie seasons, and this month they’re celebrating films that have earned the title ‘cult classic.’

The Warriors is a 1979 American thriller film directed by Walter Hill and based on Sol Yurick’s 1965 novel of the same name. It follows a New York City gang who are in a race against time to get to their home turf, after being framed for the murder of a another gang’s leader.

If you’re in early you can make The Sugar Club’s ‘pre movie hour’ and grab yourself a good seat, try one of their gourmet pizzas, or snack on their complimentary popcorn and peanuts, while enjoying a crispy pint, a classic cocktail or something from their wine list.

There’s also a ‘post movie hour’ where you can wind down and finish your drinks to some music based around the soundtrack and era of the film.

Other cult classics you can catch at the venue this month include Goodfellas, Boogie Nights, Fight Club, and The Big Lebowski.

The Warriors will be screened at 9.30pm tonight. Book fast though: there are only 150 seats up for grabs. Tickets go from €10 and you can get them here.
