You may have noticed (and how could you not?) that there’s a huge march happening in Dublin today in support of repealing the Eighth Amendment.
Organised by activists Strike 4 Repeal, women and men are striking from work and marching from noon today in solidarity with the 11 the Irish women a day who have to take a day off work to travel abroad if they wish to access a safe and legal abortion.
Women are encouraged to wear all black or a black armband to show support, and colleges across Dublin have also joined in, walking out of lectures and marching in the college grounds.
The Strike 4 Repeal march kicked off at 12.30pm today, and the amount of people that have joined in is absolutely breathtaking.

If you haven’t been able to leave work to join Strike 4 Repeal this afternoon, a March for Repeal is starting at the Garden of Remembrance at Parnell Square in Dublin at 5.30pm this evening to march to the Dail.
