The Irish band are trying to raise awareness for the plight of Dublin's buskers

Dublin band Keywest were performing in front of Stephen's Green this afternoon to raise awareness for the plight of the city's buskers.

The band have been the driving force in the creation of the group Dublin City Buskers (DCB) and are attempting to gain support from the public to to prevent Dublin City Council from introducing new bye laws which would restrict street performers.

Changes would include include the introduction of a special permits to perform on Grafton Street, limiting dance troupes the groups of three people or less, and the removal of amplification for performers.
