Urban Brewing Is Bringing Oktoberfest To The Docklands

Sarah Finnan

Autumn is here. The colder weather has returned (did it ever really leave?), the leaves are starting to change colours. And all we want to do is wrap up and sit in by the fire.

Well, that’s until we heard that Urban Brewing is running their very own Oktoberfest in Dublin this week.

Anything you’d find at the German counterpart, you’ll find here. Think traditional Bavarian food (namely Bratwurst sausage and pulled pork), a large variety of different drinks and of course beer.

Along with the venue’s own drinks menu, there will be special brews on offer. They include Fiestbier, a classic Bavarian-style lager that starts light but finishes dry, the Marzen, which is a malty Bavarian lager with a clean dry finish and the slightly more robust Bavarian Weissbier, a wheat beer with a fruity, phenolic fermentation taste.

Urban Brewing is very excited to launch their Oktoberfest celebrations and, according to Head Chef Dan Keane, “my team have worked closely with the brewers to create dishes that are authentically Bavarian and compliment the special brews that have been created especially for this occasion”.

The event will take place at Urban Brewing, in the heart of the Dublin Docklands, in the Suntrap terrace area at the CHQ Building in the IFSC. Running from tomorrow until October 5, festivities kick off daily from 4 p.m. (weather dependent).

Head to their website for more information.

Sláinte, or should we say prost.
