We’re absolutely mad about Dublin’s food markets.
Sure, how could we not be, with the sun shining as much as it has been of late?
Grabbing something freshly and locally made and plopping down on some grass to eat is a total dream – and is something we’re not fortunate enough to get to do year-round.
The food market scene in Dublin is a deadly community of independent legends doing what they love most – feeding us unreal food.
We have been obsessed with one particular food stand in recent times and wanna spill the beans with you here this evening so you can get your hands on some today.
Say hello to Pastabox
Never heard of it?
Your loss.
Because their pasta is out of this freaking world.
Pasta Box’s offerings are as good as you’d find in any of Dublin’s finest Italian restaurants.
Fresh, handmade pasta every day with incredible sauces as well as other Sicilian street food treats like their deep fried risotto balls.
Heaven.
Our fave is the carbonara – penne, parmesan, cream, eggs, crispy pancetta and garlic = pure perfection and total carbload.
€10 for an enormous, heavenly box of pasta, garlic bread on the side AND a drink for just a tenner, out of a market stall? Couldn’t bate it with a stick.
Cannot recommend these guys enough.
Where to find ’em?
East Point on Wednesdays 11.30am – 2pm, Mespil Road Canal on Thursdays 11.30am – 2pm / Sandyford 11.30 – 2pm.
You’re welcome x
Enjoy the carb coma!
