This Is The Most Underrated Spot For Drinks In Dublin – And You’ve Walked Past It Hundreds Of Times

lovinmanchester

The best place for a night out in Dublin has been right under your nose all this time – and while you’ve probably walked past it hundreds of times, it seems that most of our readers have never set foot inside.

That’s perhaps a bit understandable since it’s long endured a bit of a ‘dodge’ reputation – unfairly, to be honest – meaning some were a little bit nervous about darkening its door.

But it is a genuinely kind and welcoming place, and it’s time you checked it out.

So where are we talking about?

Why, The Hideout, of course.

Hideout1

The Hideout?

Yup – that dark pool hall on South William Street that’s been there since the dawn of time, nestled in around halfway between Clement and Pekoe and Peter’s Pub, and right at the heart of one of the city’s most fun areas.

Hideout2

We’ve often bemoaned the lack of places in Dublin where you can actually do something while you drink – table tennis bars, spots with dart boards and so on – so it’s only fair that we call this place out.

So why go here instead of a pub?

It’s just €12 to hire a pool table for an hour – or a tenner if you’re a student. And while that might seem a bit pricey given that pubs that do have tables tend to charge €2 a game, you’re still getting a seriously good deal.

Hideout3

Because not only is this a cracking place to spend an evening – with decent tunes, and a constantly great atmosphere – the spot is all about the BYOB, with a corkage of just a fiver per person.

So while you’re shelling out a bit of cash for your table, this is a way more cost-effective way of spending a couple of hours with your mates.

Hideout4

That kicks off at 6pm every evening, so if you fancy a ‘serious’ game, pop in before then – when ‘sober’ rules apply.

Hideout5

Intriguing!

Yup. So give it a go this weekend – and thank us later.

Check it out and book here.
