Alana Laverty

There are some places you just need to go for a tipple during summertime.

And sometimes it can be hard to fit them all in… unless you have a very handy list.

But where would one find something like that?

Why here, of course.

Here are ten places you need to shtall into for a tipple before the summer’s out:

1. The Dog House Blues, Howth

If you’ve never made the trip to The Dog House Blues in Howth then you need to get your wine-craving, pizza-gorging, hippy decor loving ass down there ASAP.

Subtly lit with fairy lights, candles and all sorts of lanterns, The Dog House will transport you to a world where all things are relaxed and pure.

2. Beerhouse, Capel Street

This unique and fun bar will breathe the life back into you after a long day in work, or at the beach.

As specialists in Irish craft and micro-brew beer, they have over 20 beers on tap.

There’s nowhere quite like the Beerhouse. You’ll never wanna leave.

3. Exchequer Wine Bar, Ranelagh

Nowhere like Toners Yard on a sunny day with a frosty one in hand.

You never know who’ll you’ll bump into.

6. Smyths, Ranelagh

The perfect beer garden with endless craic and great drinks.

We’d opt for a refreshing Hollow and Fentimans Ginger Beer with some bitters.

Spill out into the streets with a carefully crafted cocktail and a Spudbox in hand.

This is what summer’s all about.

8. Bloom Brasserie, Baggot Street

9. Bernard Shaw,

The Bernard Shaw will forever hold a very special place in our hearts.

From the bangin’ chunes to the great people and even better pizza – summer is all bout that Bernard Shaw sesh.

10. Drury Buildings, Drury Street

Order a white port with tonic water and a slice of orange and thank us later.
