Four years ago in 2012, Jack Kavanagh was dealt a cruel blow when he dived into an oncoming wave.
From that moment on, the then 20-year-old student’s life changed forever. Breaking his neck, he now remains paralysed from the chest down, with only limited movement in his arms and wrists.
Thoroughly exceeding expectations medically and psychologically ever since, Jack has now just landed himself a show, entitled Breaking Boundaries, on 3e, scheduled to air August 1 at 8pm.
Showing profound courage in the face of adversity ever since, Jack has taken the world by storm by going back to college, giving a huge number of motivational talks, and smashing all boundaries that doctors had previously set for him.
And now, he wants to say thanks.
For me this is a very important moment because I see it as one of the best ways I can give something back to all of you who have given me so much support over the past number of years.
It has been such a steep learning curve for all of us taking this documentary from concept through to completion, but I couldn’t have asked for a better group of friends to share the journey with.
Myself and all those who have worked tirelessly on this project over the past year are so excited to share the story will all of you!
Jack Kavanagh
Breaking Boundaries will air at 8pm on Monday, August 1.
