A new train station is set to be built in Pelletstown after plans were approved by Dublin City Council.
The station will be located between Ashtown and Broombridge on the Maynooth commuter line which runs alongside the Royal Canal. It is set to serve a large number of new housing developments in the area.
When completed, the journey to to Connolly Station will take approximately 10 minutes.
Construction on the project is expected to take between 18 months to two years.
