This Dublin Designer Has Completely Changed The Christmas Clothes Game

Darragh Berry

Ha, and you thought throwing on a Santa hat and a Christmas jumper that has bells on it would do the trick.

This Dublin designer has just redefined the whole idea of Christmas clothes and once you see this, you’ll feel ashamed and under-dressed when you head to your Christmas party or to the 12 pubs with a wooly jumper with Rudolph on the front.

Jen Nollaig aka Jenny Wilson asked Deirdre McQuillan of The Irish Times: “We completely glamorise trees, so why not glamorise ourselves?”

The designers’ creations are based on decorations that you would put on a Christmas tree without a second thought but that you wouldn’t even dare think about putting on yourself.

Wilson told Metro that she loves Christmas so much, she even made sure that Santa was present at her wedding in Las Vegas.

“Christmas has always been a time filled with excitement, wonder and joy as far back as I can remember. I used to save my pocket money up just to buy decorations as a kid. I just love the decorations, the sentimental ones are like little pieces of nostalgic art that just link me to happy memories.

“I also love the tacky ones, any foil based one or tinsel ones the tackier the better. I love to give presents to people, although I can never keep them in excitement I tend to give them to people early and call them their ‘pre-Christmas presents’ then have to go out and buy more.”

Would you be brave enough to wear any of the following?
