It’s the saga that has gripped the nation for the past couple of days but it has now been resolved.
‘Hamish the dog’ boarded a Sallins to Heuston train on his own yesterday, leading to a member of Irish Rail’s staff keeping him in overnight as the hunt got underway for his owner. Photos of the adventurous pooch appeared on some front pages this morning and his antics even caught the attention of Sky News over in the UK.
Thankfully, Irish Rail has confirmed this afternoon that Hamish’s owner has been found and he’s getting chipped in case he decides to take a wander again. It turns out that his real name is Tyson and there’s set to be an emotional family reunion later tonight. *Sniff*

All’s well that ends well. If you’ve got an unchipped friend at home, perhaps this story could be a lesson. We can’t wait for the film.
