The Coast Guard Have Finally Found Missing Dublin Jet-Skier

katedemolder

The Irish Coast Guard have located a missing jet-skier and his submerged craft, just north off Ireland’s Eye.

A Howth lifeboat brought the unnamed man back to shore where an ambulance was waiting. He was wearing a life jacket and didn’t seem to have any serious injuries.

The alert was raised around 3.30pm yesterday afternoon

As the rescue operation was ending, crews noticed that members of the public were in danger of being washed over by dangerous waves breaking on the East Pier in Howth.

One person was assisted back to safety, and the Coast Guard then maintained a position on the pier until the high tide receded.

The public are being warned to remain aware of the unpredictability of breaking waves when walking along coastal routes.
