Do You Want To Kickstart An International Career? This Programme Could Be For You

seank

Many of us find ourselves having to make the difficult choice between seeing the world or pursing our chosen career path — but you don’t necessarily have to choose between the two.

Jameson is currently looking for applicants for their three-year International Graduate Programme, which offers candidates the rare opportunity to work as a Jameson Brand Ambassador in 46 markets across all five continents, including the likes of Mexico, Japan and South Africa.

How does it work?

Successful candidates will receive four weeks of training next July and August (three weeks in Dublin’s head office and one week in the Midleton Distillery, Co Cork), before jetting off to a foreign market to work across a wide range of marketing activities, such as brand activation, event planning, promotions, education, mentoring and sales & marketing.

Once in the market, you’ll work closely with your international based Jameson marketing team and off your own initiative, to build relationships with local bartenders, distributors and event organisers. The programme really does offer the opportunity to kickstart your career and hone your commercial instincts on a global stage.

You won’t just be stuck in the one place for the three-year programme either, as you’ll rotate to a new market after the first 12 months. The second rotation is 24 months, depending on your performance levels.

They’re looking for someone who…

  • Has a full clean driver’s licence
  • Is a final year college student (undergrad and post grad) or a recent graduate
  • Has career goals in the following areas: Marketing, Sales, Digital, Events or Brand Education

If you meet the criteria, this could be you…

What’s in it for me?

You can expect a competitive graduate salary, a company phone, a company car in most markets (hence the need for a full clean driver’s license) and a company laptop, as well as two business flights annually to and from your assigned market.

Many alumni of the programme have gone on to do great things with Jameson, so career progression opportunities are very real.

How do I apply?

The Jameson International Graduate Programme likes to set itself apart, so their application process is a little different: applications are through a brief written application form and the submission of a two-minute video where you have the opportunity to explain why you’re the best fit for Jameson. Online applications close at 1pm on Wednesday January 17, 2018, so get yours in quick.
