The Just Eat National Takeaway Awards took place last night and the best purveyors of Irish takeaway dining were put on the pedestal they so greatly deserve.
Some of the fiercest and most common delivery debates were settled at the event, with Camile Thai winning Best Takeaway in Dublin, Best Spice Bag going to Lin Kee in Swords, and Ireland’s Best Takeaway being named Burrito Loco in Letterkenny, Donegal.
Just think of the hours of arguing saved thanks to last night’s definitive answers.
On hosting duties Colm O’Regan and Louise Duffy, whose banter kept spirits high while the awards were being dispensed.

Among the things we learned was that Letterkenny in Donegal is some kind of takeaway mecca, bagging a tonne of awards last night!

One of the biggest reveals of the ceremony was Ireland’s favourite dish of the year: Thai Green Curry.
Sadly the dish was unable to accept the award on the night.
