WATCH: This Proposal At Dublin Pride Is The Sweetest Thing You’ll See Today

Well this is just too sweet.

During this weekend’s Dublin Pride, couple Kirsty and Alex were enjoying the festivities in Merrion Square, with Kirsty’s mother and 5 year old niece in tow, when Kirsty gave Alex the surprise of her life by dropping down on one knee.

Having been together for five months, Kirsty decided that, for a same-sex couple, there couldn’t be a more perfect moment to pop the question.

I thought Dublin Pride would be the cutest and proudest moment of our lives. We’re proud of who we are and how far we’ve come. Pride is a time to celebrate being different, being who you are, we can prove love does exist, whether it’s man and woman, woman and woman, or man and man! Love has no gender.

After Alex accepted Kirsty’s proposal, a cheer went up from the surrounding crowd and the couple received a round of applause.
