Ed Sheeran Has Made A Very Cryptic Return To Social Media

Ed Sheeran surprised fans last December when he announced that he was to take an extended break from the spotlight.

Twelve months later, he’s returned and made his first post to social media this morning.

So, what was it? A clip of a new song, some lyrics from a new album, a thoughtful and well-constructed selfie?

Nope, it was this.

Fans have decided that the blue square is a hint about his latest release but it doesn’t give much away really.
