We’ve all been there… you arrive home from work after a seriously long day and you are absolutely starving.
You open up the kitchen cupboard and are totally uninspired by what you find. I suppose you could just have beans on toast again?
NO! Be better than beans on toast.
We’re here to inject some excitement into your dinners and to show you that you can easily and quickly whip up a gorgeous meal for yourself, without spending ages slaving over the cooker.
No excuses, you could prep this one with an arm tied behind your back!
Instructions
Step 1
Bring a pot of water to the boil. Add in your pasta, and cook it until it is al dente. Once cooked, drain and set aside.
Step 2
Next, put a frying pan on the heat with some oil. Throw in your diced bacon, and add in your button mushrooms. Fry until soft.
Step 3
Pour in your cooking cream to simmer and stir well with the bacon and mushrooms.
Step 4
Bring back your cooked pasta and add it in the pan. Make sure to stir well and coat all of the pasta with the deliciously creamy mixture.
Step 5
Grate some cheese and add it in, making sure it is well spread out through the dish.
Step 6
Transfer everything to a baking tray. Chop up some spring onion and add it to your dish. Give it another good stir, and season with salt and pepper.
Step 7
Add more grated cheese (rejoice!). This can sit atop your pasta bake for extra yumminess.
Step 8
Crank the oven up to 175 degrees and cook your creation for 10 minutes.
Step 9
Grab a plate and some cutlery, serve up your masterpiece, and enjoy!
Serve your magical creation up with a flourish, ready for a cosy night on the couch.
Bon appétit!
