Watch 'The Late Late Show' Audience Go Mad For Richard Gere Last Night

He was serenaded with a rendition of 'Up Where We Belong'

Richard Gere appeared on The Late Late Show last night and the audience really wanted to thank him for stopping by.

Even before the Pretty Woman star emerged on the stage, Tubridy commented on the giddiness of the crowd awaiting his arrival. When he finally walked on set, ladies in the crowd literally queued to shake his hand.

After his interview with The Late Late host promoting his new movie Time Out Of Mind, a little surprise awaited him from the audience (recalling a famous moment from his movie An Officer And A Gentleman), which you can see in the clip above.

If they really wanted to channel that classic scene, however, they should've had Tubs carry Gere off the stage in a white Navy uniform. Just sayin'.
