The great and the good of Irish football will descend on the Aviva Stadium pitch tonight to raise funds for injured Liverpool fan Seán Cox.
A Liverpool Legends team will take on a Republic Of Ireland XI, with all proceeds going towards the Seán Cox Rehabilitation Trust. If you’re in the area but can’t make it into the stadium, there is another way you can help out while enjoying a Friday evening drink at the same time.
Slattery’s of Beggar’s Bush will be donating €1 for every pint sold to the cause throughout the evening. The pub is little more than a stone’s throw from the stadium so if you do have a ticket, this should give you extra reason to stop in and wet your whistle beforehand.
Great goodwill for #supportsean from the pubs around @AVIVAStadium
This from @slatterys in Beggar’s Bush
It would be rude not to have one 🍺😉🤣https://t.co/kxvO1VBPSZ pic.twitter.com/BphXXMHG9v

The match should be a great occasion with the likes of Robbie Keane, Ian Rush, Jason McAteer and a whole lot more lining out. Last week, it was revealed that Seán himself will be leaving hospital to attend and yesterday supporters were delighted to see him deliver a ‘thank you’ message to all who have helped out.
Tickets are still available and can be purchased here.
