The eyes of Europe will be fully fixed on the Convention Centre in Dublin today as the qualifying draw for Euro 2020 takes place.
55 nations will learn their fate as it is revealed which teams will go into which groups with the prize being a place at the tournament in 18 months time. For Ireland, the draw couldn’t have come at a better time with a little bit of positivity in the air after the appointment of Mick McCarthy as manager for the upcoming campaign.
That could all be wiped out though if we’re placed in a horror group with the likes of France and Germany so we’ll all just have to keep our fingers crossed that the draw is kind.
