Saint Denis, and the surrounding areas, offer some pretty stellar menus, both food and drink orientated, to the humble football fan, and it's pretty much your job when over there to test them all.

1. La Fabrica

Looking for a quick, tasty meal to tide you over while you're watching Ireland smash the Euros? Then this is the place for you.

La Fabrica is a cool hidden gem of a fast food spot, serving up some of the best Mexican you'll find this side of...well, Mexico. Fresh, healthy and delicious – this place is the ideal spot to prepare you for a long day of winning.

2. Hippopotamus Saint Denis

A favourite with locals and tourists alike, Hippopotamus Saint Denis is a cut above the rest in every sense of the word. It's said it can be hard to find good steak in the greater Paris region – even if the city itself is swimming with options – but this steakhouse laughs in the face of nay-sayers.

This decadent menu strikes all the right chords with football fans, boasting hearty meals and tasty dishes. And don't think this place is just for carnivores... They have an impressive array of veggie dishes too.

3. Chez Rochette

Situated right in the heart of the city, Chez Rochette is just a stone's throw away from Stade de France and is renowned for its incredible food and impeccable service. 

Good value, great flavours and considered the diamond in the crown that is Saint Denis – Chez Rochette has you covered for every meal while you're over there.

4. Oleo Pazzo Bistro

Oleo Pazzo Bistro, open for breakfast, lunch and most importantly, dinner, offers the humble sports fan unbelievable Mediterranean cuisine for superbly reasonable prices. Their midi package including starter and main or main and dessert comes in at an impressive €19, considering the quality. 

During sunny days, the verdant terrace Bistro Oleo Pazzo opens, allowing you to soak in the sun, allowing you to feel like you're really on your holliers.

5. La Bigoudène Café

Who likes comfort food? We do, we do, we do-ooooo.

The creperie to end all creperies, La Bigoudène Café has all you need and more for when it comes to utter indulgence. Get stuck into these babies while you're in the home of indulgence – you'll never look back. 

La Bigoudène also has a chop in which you can purchase items for the poor sods at home who had to work while you were living your best life. *hint, hint*

6. Le Club 

Located within the walls of Stade de France itself, Le Club is an elevated eatery that boasts exclusivity and whopper dishes. It's the place to be for lunch, meaning you should probably book before you go to avoid disappointment. The secret to their success is a limited menu, cooked to perfection. 

They whip up some killer coffee and decadent treats too, if you're just looking to meet friends for a catch up before the game.

7. Au Petit Breton

A short walk away from the basilica is Au Petit Breton, a quaint French café, off the beaten track, dedicated to unrivalled customer service and perfectly Parisienne dishes. Everything is hand-made (even the hand written menus) and their daily specials change everyday, reflecting the typical French restaurant choice of beef, chicken or seafood.

The food is good, the value is great and the set up is the perfect place to wind down and watch the world go by – and get psyched up for the Swedes.
